We’re delighted to be taking the 2023 City Nation Place UK conference to Sheffield, a city which has recently deservedly won media attention – at the start of this year Time Out named it as the second best place to visit in Europe at the start of the year and The Times named Kelham Island, a development area at the cutting edge of Sheffield’s recent revival was named as one of the best places to live in the UK.  Key stakeholders in the place brand of Sheffield also epitomise the benefits of effective collaboration and so we look forward to bringing you Sheffield’s story amongst the rest of the great content at the conference.

The Millennium Gallery, 48 Arundel Gate, Sheffield City Centre, Sheffield S1 2PP

Opened in 2001 and featuring over 1,800 square metres of exhibition space, the building designed as part of Sheffield’s Heart of the City regeneration project and links the train station with the city centre.

Accommodation

If you’re looking to arrive the night before in order not to miss the networking breakfast and start of the conference on the Tuesday, and/or are staying over to join the Walking Conference on Wednesday, there are many hotels to choose from within a short walk from our conference venue and the train station. The two closest hotels to the venue are Mercure St Pauls and Novotel Sheffield Centre.
